Around the world, emerging markets are rising, full of untapped talent, fresh ideas, and communities ready to compete globally. Yet too often, these regions are overlooked, underfunded, and disconnected from the global innovation conversation.
We believe that's not a gap. It's one of the greatest opportunities of our time.
"Together, we can build a future where every emerging region becomes a force for good, and where prosperity, ideas, and solutions know no borders."
Innovative EcoSystems is a global innovation ecosystem design and advisory platform. We work at the intersection of economic development, innovation policy, foreign direct investment, and startup systems, operating upstream of accelerators and funds to shape the environments where innovation can compound.
Our peers are not incubators. They are economic development authorities, national innovation agencies, global advisory firms, and multilateral institutions.
To ignite, connect, and scale powerful innovation ecosystems in emerging markets, elevating regions to become engines of global prosperity and innovation.
A world where every innovative ecosystem is connected, and emerging markets become a launchpad for groundbreaking innovation, inclusive growth, and collaborative problem-solving, where opportunities know no borders.
Most ecosystem advice is anecdotal. IE built the IEPA, the Innovation Ecosystem Prosperity Assessment, to bring rigor to a field that has long relied on intuition. The IEPA scores six zones, anchored in the four foundational capabilities below, that determine a region's capacity to innovate and grow. It powers every advisory engagement, assessment, and program we design.
R&D investment, IP output, technology adoption rates
Startup density, founder culture, access to capital
Institutional stability, adaptability, crisis recovery
Public-private coordination, policy coherence, trust
Unlike traditional consultants or incubators, we focus on the entire system (policy, talent, capital, spaces, and narrative) because real innovation thrives at intersections, not in silos.
We specialize in bridging governments and corporations, the two actors who together determine whether an ecosystem scales or stalls. We design the environments where both succeed.
Our methodologies draw from global best practices across over 160 tracked indices. Every engagement is calibrated to the region's unique culture, industries, and institutions.
We don't measure activity. We measure ecosystem health. The IEPA gives our clients a shared language for what progress actually looks like, and what's holding it back.
We don't just advise. We connect. Our platform integrates all required ecosystem participants into one collaborative community, informed by the IEPA index across 117 economies and every major region.
We break down silos and connect people, organizations, capital, and regions across industries and borders, because real innovation knows no boundaries.
We embrace curiosity and calculated risk, encouraging ideas to be tested, iterated, and evolved until they create real, lasting change.
We measure success by the opportunities we create and the lives we uplift. Ecosystems should benefit all, not extract from some.
We are fearless in questioning outdated systems and imagining better solutions, driving transformative progress where others see only obstacles.
IE is built by practitioners, not theorists: people who have designed ecosystems, shaped policy, and navigated emerging markets firsthand.

Founder & CEO, Innovative EcoSystems
Chicago, IL
John Zozzaro is a founder, ecosystem architect, and strategic advisor known for turning ambitious ideas into real-world impact. As Founder & CEO of Innovative EcoSystems, he leads a multidisciplinary team tackling global challenges through regenerative innovation and entrepreneurship. He's currently building two AI ventures: Arcestra.AI, an operational control platform that optimizes power, cooling, and compute in AI-era data centers to reduce energy costs and carbon emissions, and AuremIP.AI, a creator-first IP infrastructure platform that gives artists, musicians, and designers verifiable, on-chain proof of ownership over their work.
His journey began on the road, touring the country as a musician, which sparked a lifelong obsession with how media, technology, and culture collide to drive change. After building two successful marketing agencies, he co-founded MediaTech Ventures, a global ecosystem builder at the intersection of media and innovation.
Since then, he's helped launch three incubators with 150+ alumni, advised governments on public innovation strategy, served as a fractional CMO for startups to Fortune 1,000 organizations, mentored hundreds of founders worldwide, and taught Entrepreneurship at Tilyard University in London. He's an active advisor across blockchain, sustainability, and civic tech.
Whether mentoring a founder, shaping public policy, or jamming on guitar with his three kids nearby, John's through-line is clear: build things that make the world more connected, more innovative, and more human.
We're building a world-class team of ecosystem practitioners, policy advisors, and market specialists across our Tier 1 markets.
